Seneschal Guild

What is the Seneschal Guild

The Seneschal Guild oversees all types of service that Belegarth may require. From heralding to recruiting, all skilled aspects that improve Belegarth for its members may be chosen as an area of focus. This guild focuses on dedication, quality, and quantity of service.

The Goal of the Seneschal Guild Is...

The mission of the Seneschal Guild is to promote excellence in leadership and service to the Belegarth community. It accomplishes this mission by:

Developing and maintaining a consistent, standardized, and formal recognition process for accomplishments in leadership and in serving the community.
Establishing a mentoring system for developing individual skills and abilities.
Inspiring members and providing them the necessary skills to share their knowledge and experience with the community.
Promoting the value of volunteerism and social responsibility within the community.

Guild Membership Information

How to Join

Any member of BCMS wanting to sharpen their skills to support the Belegarth community may join the Seneschal Guild. Here is how to get started:

1) Introduce yourself to a Guild Council member (either online or at an event), and join the Seneschal Seneschal Facebook Group or request to Join the Seneschal Discord server.

Provide your name, realm and unit (if applicable).
Provide the number of years you’ve been involved with Belegarth.
Share any notable service you're proud of in Belegarth.
Share your reason for joining the Guild and what you want to learn by being a Member.

2) Edit the member table below to include your fighting name, realm, and focus. You may request someone do this on your behalf if necessary.

3) Create a belt flag with the Seneschal Guild symbol. This is optional, but it is a great way to share your involvement with the rest of Belegarth.

4) Engage with other Guild members online, or at Guild meetings at events, so you can learn from your peers or offer your own insights as an active Belegrim. Be sure to view and learn from content within the Guild Library.

Peerage within the Guild

All prospective Seneschal Guild members are encouraged to review the Seneschal Guild Council Charter prior to seeking Peerage.

Becoming a Vassal

Those interested in becoming a Seneschal Guild Vassal must Complete the Guild Interest Form and indicate their three primary areas of interest of their Belegarth service (they may be refined later). Questions about this process may be directed to Master Dragoon Antoinette or any other member of the Seneschal Guild Council.

Becoming an Apprentice

Each Apprenticeship is unique, aligned with the disciplines or aspect(s) of service the Apprentice has chosen. The Seneschal Guild Council will review each submission and recommend a Mentor pairing to formally begin the Apprenticeship. View more information about the expectations and requirements for any Guild Apprentice here.

Becoming a Journeyman

As a Journeyperson, you are expected to continue to expand your knowledge while also serving as an educator for the greater community. View more information about the expectations and requirements for any Guild Journeyperson here.

To Be Considered for Master Status

The Guild Council has paused the Direct-to-Masterhood pathway for the time being. We have left these examples in case they are needed for any other pathway to Masterhood.
