A Pocket Book of Belegarth Field Callouts

How to Give Your Opponents Courtesy

by Squire Acolyte Sum'n

This guide is in no way a hard set of rules you must follow, however, it is what I believe to be the most honorable and effective method of mid-fight communications for the betterment of all Belegrim.

This guide is a passion project I put upon myself because I disagree that "no" is a courteous or helpful "courtesy call" in a fight, as it provides no real or substantive information to your opponent other than that whatever they thought happened may not have happened.

This page will also provide a link to a Google Slide (pictured below) to a printable zine version of the following information that should fit inside the standard 8.5x11 printer paper most common in the US. The zine is typed using the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface, available for free through the Open Font License and was designed in partnership with the Braille Institute of America to assist readers with low-visibility and/or dyslexia, because our sport should strive to remain as accessible as possible.

A visual representation of the pre-printed and folded version of the printable zine format for this guide. Directions: Fold in half along the horizontal axis. Cut the dotted line in the center. Fold into a + or x shape. Then fold so that the two faces on the bottom right corner of this picture make the front and back covers.
