Persona

Shintaro is a Ronin hailing from a secluded region of Japan known as the Nansei Islands, or Ryukyu to Westerners. It is a chain of small islands to the north of Japan extending into the East China Sea. Being of a mixed European-Japanese descent, Shintaro often felt resented and was rather aloof to his peers. Ryukyu was a tough place to grow up, so Shintaro made sure he was one of the toughest. He left islands at the age of 17, his parents choosing to settle in Edo. Rumors of a sacred battleground named Latnemir drove him West. He had heard legends it was a place of immortality, a field where the Gods would continually raise the fallen.

His arrival was all he had hoped for. He grew stronger, more agile, and more experienced with each battle; the Gods content to always return him to the mortal realm should he fall. Much to his delight, he learned that Latnemir was only a small city-state within a large area known as the Highlands of Chaos and even the Highlands were part of an entire nation named Belegarth.

He then began to travel across the Highlands, taking part in many tournaments across the vast nation. It was after Chaos Wars X he was contacted by a fellow Samurai known as Amuro Nakamoto.

Amuro resided in the South-east Region of Belegarth in the larger city known as Dun Abhon. Shintaro had been returning home after a long, weary battle when the letter arrived. Much like Latnemir, Dun Abhon also faced vicious attacks from the Horde and Amuro was trying to rally all remaining Samurai as a stand for humanity. Knowing the title meant 'One who Serves' always served a higher power, Shintaro accepted and became a Samurai for the House of the Black Lotus

He fights in Latnemir to this day and travels across the Highlands of Chaos, perfecting his skill as a warrior and someday aspires to see more of the great nation that is Belegarth.
