An objective is a requirement towards continuing or ending a battlegame or scenario. Objectives may be the same for each team, as in a standard field battle where each team aims to survive while killing the other team. Objectives may also be asymmetric; they differ between teams, such as in a battle where an aggressing team aims to sack a defending team's castle but the defending team aims to defend their castle rather than sack a castle themselves.
Objectives may be mixed and matched to help create fun and challenging battlegames. Striking a balance may be difficult in asymmetric battles, however.
