Character Lore

Môrgan was born to an Elvish mother and a human father, who was a tanner and leather-smith. She was given the father-name Môrgan, after The Morrígan and the mother-name Nerwen, (her surname would have been either Tanner, FerchTanner, ferchCarreg or some variation of her patronym, but was rarely used, and not considered part of her proper name, so much as just an identifier).

Her lore is styled off of the Eldar, Ljósálfar, Nymphs, Tuatha Dé Danann, and Aos Sí for her mother's heritage and Welsh language and culture for her father's heritage.

After a disaster that separated her and her mother from her father, the two of them immigrated to the Kingdom of Israel, and settled in a village among the Tribe of Gad. After a local rabbi and butcher (shochet) took them in and cared for them, they chose to obtain Israelite nationality (i.e. convert), and the rabbi formally married her mother and adopted Môrgan. Môrgan then chose the Hebrew name Gavriel, thus making her Hebrew name Gavriel bat Yosef benAmichai v'Eliana batAvraham Avinu HaGadi. She however, only uses her Hebrew name among her own people.

She speaks both the Common tongue and Hebrew fluently without accent. Her elvish is fluent, but simple (being isolated to only house-hold speech) and though her pronunciation is perfect, it lacks the nuance of social use (considered a 'half-elf' accent by full elves, that are familiar with the tell-tale signs of someone who learned Elvish in social isolation).

Her personal style is a mix of Semetic, Moorish, early Medieval Welsh/Europe, Celtic/Tolkienesque.
