Entry 1:
There have been reports of a strange monster roaming in the nearby forest. Descriptions identify this creature as a lizardmen, a green saurus. Locals claim that this lizard has been behind the recent disappearances of travelers. No one seems to have a motive as to why this lizard might be doing so, nor what they do with these victims. Further investigation is necessary.
Entry 2:
I have begun to question the residents of the forest about this lizard and have gained relatively little information. The general consensus is that whoever this individual is, they are feral, violent, seem to have a penchant for bones, and are insane. When asked about the missing travelers and if they believe that this lizard is responsible, many residents confirmed the theory. When inquired as to why, I learned that the possessions of the missing travelers are always left behind with a few rare exceptions. None of the forest residents I questioned seemed to know where this lizard came from nor what they wanted. It seems I will need to go investigate this lizard myself if I want answers.
Entry 3:
While searching for my subject, I ran across a warrior in the forest and decided to inquire if they knew anything of this mystery lizard and learned that this green lizard is a relatively new arrival to the forest. Known as Myth, she is quite young as far as lizardmen go, and also quite small, with the warrior sometimes referring to her as “little lizard”. Upon receiving this information, I inquired the significance of the subjects size. According to the warrior, saurus is a sub-classification of lizardfolk, with one of the known distinctive traits being their larger stature compared to the other sub-classification of skink, explaining the warrior found the size of the subject to be unusual. I also learned that she appears to not know the customs of society, lizardmen or otherwise. From this warrior I learned that she is in fact feral, even by lizardmen standards, and she does whatever she pleases, unconcerned with ideas like morality, laws, or society. He thought her temperament to be strange, having observed that the subject's behavioral type being more in line with that observed in red lizardmen than green, remarking one might even think she is red-green color blind, unable to understand what shade of lizard she truly is. I find this unlikely, for even if the subject was colorblind, I doubt it would effect overall temperament. One article of note: the warrior found it odd to see a lizard in this area where there was very few monsters, with him stating that he had never previously found lizardfolk in this region, most he had found in the past were near more monstrous areas, like the region of Tir Asleen. I will have to visit after my current investigation to learn more. As for what she might have done to the travelers, I was not provided any additional information.
Entry 4:
I have found the lizard, Myth. Currently observing her from behind an outcropping of foliage, I can see what she has done to the missing travelers, though it would be better described what is being done to her victims. Experiments and dissections, studying them, their anatomy, removing the bones and discarding the soft tissue when the study procedure is completed. The subject appears to be experimenting with bone grafting, extending the limbs. Could she be experimenting with the creation of artificial height? I have never--- I have lost track of her. I should~
He should have known better, he should have put up a better fight. Either way, he would have been a fine subject of study. But I have some traveling to do and find others like me, other lizards. I must find this place, Tir Asleen.
