Creatures whose origins can be found outside of the Material Plane, generally interdimensional travelers who've come to our worlds for reasons known only to themselves.

celestials: Creatures of Light born in the Celestial Planes, primarily focused on protecting and maintaining order of the Material Plane. Examples of this being good aligned dieties, Aasimars/fallen Assimars, Valkyrie and the like


Fiends: Dark creatures born from the Abyssal Planes, most of which primarily focus on punishing or destroying the Material Plane. These species include examples such as Tieflings, Lemures, Demons, Devils and a good portion of Evil aligned dieties.

Ethereals: creatures born or living within these unknown and seemingly infite planes of existence tend to have a very weak tether to the Material Plane altogether, but sometimes creatures like Wraiths and other beings of great strength can break through

Shadows: Creatures born of the dark energies of the Negative Planes of reality exist only as shadows but these spirit can often be used by powerful Liches and Necromancers to empower the remains of the dead in the Material Plane to create the undead horrors that we know today as Deathrisen

Cosmics: Creatures born of this plane ate often interspace travelers or extraterrestrials who've come to our plane to either study or even improve our way of life like the peaceful Silverhelms or entirely assimilated and consume anything that gets in the way of their hostile take over such as the Mohrg.
