Also, you clearly missed the part that said double-ended weapons are silly and you really shouldn't bother building one because you won't use it much on a real field. It looks nice for sure, but take it to a practice and see how you fare against the local veterans. At minimum, at least go get it checked and make sure it passes at all. Why is PVC out of the question? I made a very nice double ended weapon out of pvc, heavy duty pool noodles, pipe isolation, blue foam and a Nerf football.
I believe the reason why is because PVC at that length tends to flex too much and will fail. Also, you clearly missed the part that said double-ended weapons are silly and you really shouldn't bother building one because you won't use it much on a real field. It looks nice for sure, but take it to a practice and see how you fare against the local veterans. At minimum, at least go get it checked and make sure it passes at all.
