I will now tell you of my Life before the West. I was born in the lands of the East, far from here. My hometown Lantern village is a small town of little to no inportences. I was the youngest son of a ronin; what little inheritance my father had to give would go to my oldest brother. I grew up knowing I would be left with nothing. So it was that at 16, I began to wander the countryside. I was on my way to the old capital when I found myself lost. The rain came, and with it, the cold. I needed shelter, and found it in the arms of a pretty young woman. She noticed me on the road and quickly invited me into her home to warm up. Though I intended to get warm, her fireplace seemed less inviting than her arms. She was friendly, welcoming, and most importantly, she had great tits. We were warm to one another almost as soon as I was inside. It was after things began heating up further that things changed. Her kisses continued as her body fell away to the ground. Organs and entrails hung loose, dangling where her breasts had just pressed. Before the disgusting penanggalan had entirely split, I grabbed hold of her, knowing that penanggalan could only feed in their true form. It resisted me, of course, but after a struggle, I forced the monster into the fireplace. I slept well the rest of the night. When I awoke, I continued making my way to the city. On the way there, I encountered an imperial magistrate, who told me the way to the city and of the bounty on the penanggalan’s head. When I arrived in the city, I collected the large bounty. Several things changed after that. First, I began carrying jade at all time, but especially when laying with new women. Second, my armor became my home. I have left it only rarely since then. With the bounty, I had found a new occupation in monster hunting. The gold was good, and there was always something that needed to be killed. It was during these travels that I met the love of my life Mariko. I was on the hunt for an oni-kage. A horse like oni that had been killing people She wanted to prove her straight to her father so she also took up the hunt. We decided to work together, and together we slew the beast. Soon after, we were engaged. She was not like most women. Most women in my homeland are meek, obedient house flowers, since that is what most men of my homeland want in a wife. Mariko was strong of will and fast as the wind. Our engagement seems too short now. We were married in the old capital. It was modest, but joyous. It was on the honeymoon when civil war broke out. We found ourselves torn from our happiness and shoved into the fighting. We fought together for a time, but circumstances separated us. I think too often about that moment. I heard later that she fought bravely. It did not change the fact that she was gone. After her death, I fought for many years. I do not think about those days because I did not think during those days. I can tell you that I fought men and oni both. I drank when I wished, and found women when I did not want to drink. Sometimes I did both. I left my homeland for good after a night of fighting with Mariko's family. I did not want to kill them all so I decided to stay on a small island. I did not know that the island was in fact a giant island turtle. By the time I finger out what was going on I was on the Other side of the world and now Iam hear.
