As the originator of the above plans, small changes that should have been added go as follows

Replace Duct Tape with fiberglass strapping tape (Contact cement doesn't stick well to duct tape)

Use a firmer foam for the inner spacer (otherwise you may have your weapon fail for the blade section being able to fold more than 45 degrees) The other fix for this may be to duct tape the hell out of the outer "taco" layer
