Safety, Playability, Realism

Safety, playability, and realism are the three principles that all Belegarth MCS rules are based on. All of the rules are designed with safety as first the priority, then playability, and finally realism. If a rule or weapon is not reasonably safe, then it is not allowed. If it is safe but it creates an imbalance in the rules, then it is not playable and is not allowed. If it is a safe and balanced rule or weapon, then it should strive to shape the game as a pre-gunpowder-in-Europe (around the 13th century) or fantasy genre. When thinking about a new rule or a new weapon you should always first ask yourself, “Is it safe?”then, “Is it playable?” and finally, “Is it realistic?”
