Relic

From BelegarthWiki

In battles, a relic is a unique item that is used to fulfill an objective. A relic can be any sort of item, as long as it is safe to run with and is distinguishable from other items on the field. Relics must typically be delivered somewhere to fulfill the objective.

Carrying a relic can be a boon, a burden, a combination of both, or nothing special. For example, if a shield is a relic, per standard rules it can't be carried along with another shield; additionally, carrying a relic that is a buckler that reflects damage done to it back into the opponent's arms can be both a burden and a boon. But if the relic is just a rag with no special abilities, it doesn't affect the average relic holder much.

Common Relics

Flag
A piece of cloth at its simplest. The cloth could be attached to a baton or weapon-legal core.
Baton
A lightweight rod. Likely shouldn't be used to block with.
Shield
Cannot be held at the same time as another shield, unless stated otherwise. This affects the loadouts of those trying to capture the relic.
Weapon
It's not uncommon for weapon relics to be so powerful that they must be held alone in one's hand. They may even break equipment single-handedly, or instantly kill with an normally survivable wound.
