Lore Dagguere
Daguerre (real name Lore Roberts; they/them/theirs) is an enthusiastic fighter who is eager to see how their experience takes shape with more events and meeting other Belegrim. If you find Lore at an event, there’s a chance they’ll ask you about your favorite play on the fighting field, and will offer you a gold star sticker. What started as a joke has become a favorite past time for Lore as they enjoy seeing otherwise shy or quiet people take a moment to brag about their accomplishments, even if they’re not a top tier fighter.

History
Daguerre was discovered by the Paladin of Karth who recognized them as Alvadh, a little known race often referred to as “the bastard children of a bastard god.” At the time they were working under the name they were given of “Starforged” under a fellow known as Greytech, but that’s an entirely different story.
Knowing the rarity of Alvadh as well as their former master’s tales of what they were like, the Paladin kept a close eye on Starforged from their place in the High Plains, enlisting Sir Tempelhoff and the then Squire Havik to do the same when it was discovered that Starforged lived in Grond. It was during this time that Starforged’s most refined skill came to light - photomancy. Using a device like a small box with a glass disk that looked somehow like an orb, they were able to freeze a moment in time and make it not only stable, but tangible when bonded to parchment.
After Greytech’s more insidious exploits were discovered and new work was needed, the Paladin encouraged Starforged to seek out the Chroniclers Guild. The youngest and smallest of the guilds, it seemed like a long shot. However, Starforged’s visions caught the eye of one Lady Armstrong, a well known photomancer before The Great Plague. Despite many years of practicing photomancy, it was deemed vital that if a path to mastery could be achieved, it must be done thoroughly so as to give it credibility, so Starforged was made the first Apprentice of the Chronicler’s Guild under Lady Armstrong. They took the name Daguerre, leaving Starforged in the past, and made residence for themself in the old church next to the cemetery on the outskirts of town under the watchful eye of the Keeper of the Graves.
They were given two tasks. One, carve one’s own path to photomastery just as the first knights had done to earn their chains. Two, to take a census of Belegrim both within Grond and as far as their travels could carry them, using their visions to document life after The Great Plague.
An invasion, Wolfpack Opener, Olympics, and a Numenor Closer passed without consequence. The Paladin’s then-squire, Goldbug the Brighthearted, offered to accompany Daguerre to Beltane in Dur Demarion. It was there they began to reveal their true colors - quite literally, as their purple and blue skin began to show the star maps they hid in their matter. The fully realized Alvadh went on to record the knighting of Sir Bran as well as the events recorded in The Apprentice’s Letter.
There are many stories to be told from that one year - The Lighting of The Forge, The Churchgrimm and the Changeling, The Graverobber of Grond, The Five-Fanged Omen, The Rogue and Cleric Go to War - but many remain an oral tradition, happily told to any who ask until they can be properly recorded. After documenting twelve separate events in a single year, they returned home to Grond to compile their work. Slowly the stories are woven, but the cleric’s duties never stop. If they cannot be found in their scriptorium sorting through thousands of these frozen moments, they can likely be found with their device in hand, training with their partners for the battles ahead, caring for a new addition to the realm, -definitely not practicing necromancy-, taking the field with their bow, or enjoying a quiet walk with Tempelhoff through rows of kept graves next to the old church on the outskirts of Grond.
