Knightfall Shadowguard
Shadow Guard
The Shadow Guard are Knightfall's elite fighters. The trials put before them are intended to prepare them to lead the realm, should it be demanded of them. They must stand for the rest of the realm as an example of honor and skill.
They each control three of the guards. These fighters are very loyal to the Triad and will protect the Kingdom at any cost.

VIII. The Shadowguard
1. The Shadowguard are, in a sense, the Squires of Knightfall. They have shown themselves to be dedicated and effective in their duties to the realm.
2. Requirements:
- a) Must be an active member for 2 consecutive fighting seasons with an attendance of 50% or greater.
- b) Must be at and maintain status as a member of the Guard.
- c) Must have a complete set of passing garb, including a Marshal’s tabard.
- d) A member’s application to become Shadowguard must be approved by the Officers.
3. Proving Leadership Capabilities
- a) Organize one month’s worth of practices/ eight practices.
- b) Show responsibility and honor in combat (correct misconceived hits on the part of the opponent, and take all hits with humility).
- c) Must show exceptional maturity and responsibility.
4. Proving Skill and Knowledge in Combat
- a) Must have at least 12 hours of marshaling (with no less than ½ hour time blocks, and no more than 1½ hour time blocks).
- i) The eight practices arranged by the aspiring Shadowguard are the exception to this rule, and the length of time spent marshaling during these practices, regardless of length of time spent marshaling, shall be counted towards their total hours completed.
- b) Must be proficient in and maintain equipment for at least two fighting styles.
- c) Must attend at least 6 out-of-realm practices.
- d) Must attend at least 3 out-of-realm events.
- e) Must defeat all three members of the Triad with both proficient weapon styles (this no longer requires all three Triad members to be present).
5) Proving Usefulness to the Realm
- a) Be able to construct equipment of passing quality in all weapon classes, and do so in a solid and safe manner.
- b) Be able to reference the Book of War and support all legal combat decisions with clear and concise explanation.
- c) Be able to shuttle weapons to practice if none of the Officers are available. This means you must have a reliable mode of transportation ready each practice.
- d) Must own and maintain at least one set of loaner gear (in the spirit of furthering our sport, so that they may recruit new members).
