First introduction to any boffer sports was in 2006 with Sleeping Samurai at Florida Supercon in 2006, and the only exposure to it was at cons until ~2009/2010 when he started to go his local practice in South Florida. However he lost interest and promptly took a break from it. Around 2013/2014 one of his friends told about it again and how much fun events were so he decided to give it a shot again, where he fell in love with the sport.
