Anti-Ninja
The Art of Anti-Ninjas
A basic ninja or shinobi (忍者?) was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, assassination, as well as open combat in certain situations. The underhanded tactics of the ninja were contrasted with the samurai, who were careful not to tarnish their reputable image.
A Anti-Ninja or Shinobi (反脛?) were counter-agents or bounty hunters who specializied in killing other ninjas. The functions of the Anti-Ninja included assassination and capturing prisoners as well as open combat in many situations.

History
Despite many popular folktales, historical accounts of the Anti-Ninjas are even more scarce than ninjas.
"So-called ninjutsu techniques, in short are the skills of shinobi-no-jutsu and shinobijutsu, which have the aims of ensuring that one's opponent does not know of one's existence, and for which there was special training."
