The north is lost. Dust on the wind.' So are the whispers of folk across the land. Yet to the south, the banner of Arderyth has risen. Further north, a cold blast of wind has raised another.

The Northern Guard of the old empire returns from the field, heavily diminished and composed of elements both of the old guard and trained barbarians from the wastes.
