| − | Kaegan Hume was born in the year 1298 to Sir Liam, and Elizabeth Hume near the town of Edinburgh (southeastern Scotland). Sir Liam was the youngest of 6 boys fathered by Sir David Hume. The estate of David Hume was awarded to his eldest son David jr. upon his untimely death in 1287. The rest of Sir David’s remaining assets was split between the 5 other sons, Not exactly a suitable sum for royal life. Nevertheless Kaegan’s early life was one of comfort, and high social standing.

At age 7 Kaegan became paige to his Uncle Sir David, continued his education, and began his studies on the principals of war. At this stage in his life Kaegan began to change his boyish outlook on life, and discovered his true passion – war.
