The estate of David Hume was awarded to his eldest son David jr. upon his untimely death in 1287. The rest of Sir David’s remaining assets were split between the 5 other sons, Not exactly a suitable sum for royal life. Nevertheless Kaegan’s early life was one of comfort, and high social standing.
