Lore: Years passed since Nan Belegorn was first set on fire. One day, a hot-headed young ork stood on a hill overlooking the scorched valley. He watched as the last of the mighty cedar trees crumbled and were reduced to ash. He wandered along the bloodened banks of the bone-choked river and found traces of the powerful monsters who overwhelmed the valley years ago. He saw cinders from the camp of a mighty ogre, whose footfall marks a clear path out of the valley -- small bones and discarded swaddling telling of a whole family in tow. The ogres were gone. The young ork continued up the riverbank until he came across a small tribe of goblyns. He recognized a few of them from conquests past, but saw that their bloodlust was shelved for the sake of the well-being of their own clan and their kits. The goblyns were retired. He bade them well and continued on. He thought he saw a tree still standing, and in his momentary excitement ran headlong into a battle-worn hat troll. Though a familiar face, he did not need to speak for long before the ork realized this weathered old troll had gone completely insane. The trolls were mad. The young ork was disheartened. He remembered fighting proudly in many fierce battles with the terrible and frightening creatures who chased from this valley every trace of Human and Humankind creature and then set it on fire. He remembered the fire, the spirit, the taunting and dancing; the blood, the bones, the swords! There must be someone left in this valley who still can fight! Reinvigorated, he scoured every corner of the valley. He came across a thatched hut on a sandbar along the river. There was a light glowing. Inside, he met again a dour goblyn warrior, who was bent with age and injuries. The old goblyn spoke with the young ork, and after hearing his tale and his mission, pointed him towards the yard behind the hut. There the young ork met a young goblyn, full of fire and violence. The ork told the golyn his tale and his mission. He had found his ally, and they took hands and joined towards one purpose. The ork’s mission: To bring back life to the Valley of the Mighty Trees. To bring back Nan Belegorn.

About: Ghyll, together with Tonberry, leads the realm Nan Belegorn. Ghyll is very outspoken and recruitment-focused when it comes to his realm. He is a strong proponent for the alliance of realms in the formation of Eriador. Ghyll focuses his efforts on both Eriador and Nan Belegorn above all else, and most of his current participation in Belegarth is driven by his desire to see the sport grow. Ghyll is no stranger to Belegarth, and has been fighting since forever. He can be very intimidating and commanding in battle, and is not afraid to assume a leadership position. This is made all the easier by his ability to throw his voice over great distances and scare small children. This is of course when he is in a good mood. Catch an ork in a bad mood, and one will not have enough teef (or a face) left to talk about it. Being an ork, Ghyll can sometimes be a bit bullheaded, as he recognized at the time of his Commander ceremony. He is quoted as saying, “Every ork needs two things in his life: an ogre to show him that he isn’t the biggest thing around, and a goblyn to show him he isn’t the cleverest.” He acknowledges that he can be a better leader through the help, advice, and direction of his friends and is always willing to listen and learn...granted someone bigger than him might have to beat it into him.
