Chaos trolls are a seperate and more rare breed of trolls that are warped and tainted by their all-consuming hatred for everything. They were all once hat trolls, but have since become so angered by the weakness shown by the rest of their kin due to their fear of the sun.

although many say that hat trolls are so-called "bastard-sons" of some other worthless god, the chaos trolls learned the truth of their kind. The fact is that trolls have been around since before there was anything. this is hard to explain, but hat trolls were not made by any god, and cannot be destroyed. they just wandered for a long time, and ended up here. trolls don't find it necessary to name things or keep track of time, so they also usually find it unnecessary to explain things to other races. being patient, trolls simply nod, smile, and agree, even thought hat trolls know the truth. hat trolls are not easily angered, but when they are, it is a powerful and fearsome thing to behold.

chaos trolls, being stronger, faster, and smarter, are even worse. they have no fear of the sun, but some still follow the old ways of wearing hats and worshiping the moon.

the only known tribe of chaos trolls is the bloodface tribe. this tribe was started by an amazing hat troll named bloodface. he was so strong that he didn't need a hat, because the sun was affraid of him. the sun steals power from all living things by touching it with its warm light, but the sun keeps its rays away from bloodface for fear of his power. there is always a great darkness around bloodface.

bloodface originally earned his name because when he would go into battle, he would beat his opponents into pulp with his own forehead until his face was covered in blood before he would use his weapons. eventually getting bored of being so awesome, the tribe that had formed around bloodface wandered off for hundreds of years. while the other trolls became weak and were enslaved and led to believe they were some sons of a worthless god, bloodface's tribe was gathering massive strength. the weak hat trolls had even become a different color because of their fear of the sun. they had gone from the powerful ashen grey of the original trolls to a wretched purple color. upon returning and seeing their brethren's weakened state, the bloodface tribe became consumed in rage, twisting them into the beasts of chaos that they are now. their grey skin changed to blue, and their hatred lit a fire inside of them that could not be extinguished by any amount of leeching the sun could do. in disgust, bloodface wandered off, and has not been seen since. whenever there is a large storm, the chaos trolls look hopeful, for it could signify the return of bloodface to lead them to the destruction of everything. chaos trolls wear red warpaint in recognition of their great leader, bloodface.
