My hand was steady as it carved the first rune into the soft rock. With its completion an irradesant light glowed from the letter and the tan rock began to change into a uniform disk of otherworldly blacks blues and greens. With this I continued writing now merely outlining the runes with my finger as the ideas and memories rushed through my body onto the plate...

"tznacroms are created by merely carving the first rune into an object. Once the rune is written the object becames alive and changes the object into the 'base state'. Once in the base state merely tracing the symbols onto the tznacrom is enough for the words to become imbued with the memories and emotions of the tznacrom's subject and writer.  Once completed the writer adds the 'connection phrase' and the base state folds in upon itself forming a three dimensional geometric shape of impossible angles."
With the completion of an offshoot of writing the letters  glowed brighter then faded into the base state which then began to fold in upon itself. The solid stone begin to fold without cracking or shattering until it was nothing more than a softball sized triangular octohedron. I reached out and grabbed the floating object and put it into my cloak.
