O'Reillys
The Celtic peoples settled in the British Isles some time before the age of the Roman Empire. These peoples are believed to have migrated from the south in seek of fertile lands . These Celts were of fair skin, and commonly red hair. They were at first nomadic, and eventually agricultural base. While not organized like the Britons and Franks in the common feudal system, these people were divided into many different tribes. One tribe in particular was known as the Scotti, and these were the people that eventually be known as the Scottish. The Scottish were seen to many as a barbaric race of men, which is not entirely false. The Scots were divided into territorial and warlike clans based primarily on family heritage. Throughout the dark ages these clans fought for land and wealth and these constant blood wars only served to disunify a powerful race, and stunt their technological and economic progress. It was at this time that one powerful and greedy warlord from Northwestern Scotland, named Bannis, raised a great army of warriors who ravaged the lands and took advantage of a weak people. The first appearance of the O’Reilly clan is recorded at this time. The O’Reillys were the most successful clan in northern Scotland to ever face Bannis’s horde. It was to the aid of the O’Reilly’s that Ginneigh came. Ginneigh drove off Bannis’s hordes and the O’Reilly clan leader, Argyle I bid his eternal allegiance of his clan to Ginneigh. From that point on the O’Reillys under Ginneigh united all of the northern clans under the Green God. This was the golden age of Ginneigh. For about150 years the Northern Scots were unified and prosperous under Ginneigh, and successfully drove off a massive Nordic Invasion. During this time the O’Reilly bible was written, the Ginneighad, the council that enforced the book was created, The Ganackd, and the O’Reillys established their mountain kingdom at Reilltoch. Eventually Ginneigh was betrayed by a corrupt Sorcerer that served in the Ganackd, Blackar O’Fance. Blackar killed Ginneigh’s son Dandurin. Ginneigh then lead what clans remained loyal to him to Ireland and war with Blackar’s dark legions. Ginneigh fell, and the Ganackd was broken at this time. Following this breaking of loyalty, the clans fell into heathenism once more and became disunified. William O’Reilly the Wise, clan leader at the time, lead his ever faithful clan to peace in the mountains at this time to await for a sign from Ginneigh. William then sought a new throng of Ginneigh in Europe while the rest of Scotland fell into cannibalism and murder in a time known the blood period. William then returned with a second manifestation of Ginneigh, and new throng and drove the cannibalism from Scotland. This was then a renewed era of prosperity for the O’Reillys and the Ginnic way. For hundreds of years following many generations of O’Reillys served Ginneigh and wielded the power of unified Scotland like a mighty hammer, that thwarted any enemy that dared threaten them. In the end it was the combined might of a heathen insurrection in Scotland, and the Quest for Ginnic Abomination to upon by the English. The City of Reilltoch was taken by the English at this time. Ginneigh’s second incarnation was killed, and the entirety of the O’Reilly army was destroyed at this time, save a small number of women and children lead by Argyle III Salochstagh, son of Mordgar. These survivors retreated into the woods and caves of northern Scotland, and they constantly stalk the land in seek of vengeance for the demise of their people, and destruction of their religion.
The final descendents of the O'Reillys are known as the Lost Children of the O'Reillys.
