History
The city of Angbad was once a prosperous merchant village in the remote countryside, but it was ruled by the avaricious merchant lord Hannibal. As its numbers grew so did his greed. Soon travelers were being turned away from the gates for refusing to pay the entrance fee. The city grew stagnant as trade began to die a few rebellious warriors decided enough was enough. Confronting the merchant lord with the backing of the few able bodied men left in the city they commanded him to leave the city while the stones of his keep were still standing. He fled the city to the surrounding woods never to be seen again, though stories resurface from recent travelers that he is still selling his wares to the unknowing and naive from his encampment in the woods. The rebellious warriors decided to rename the town after the original ruins the city was built upon and so Tacompton was raised to its proper status in the world. Over the years they rebuilt the merchants keep into a proper castle. Castle Chumpenstien.
