Lore:

Rotten was born and named Ug'rot which in the tongue of his ogre ancestors means 'great-stone'. Ug'rot grew amongst his tribe who dwelt near a great ocean. As he grew Ug'rot excelled as a warrior. When Ug'rot came of age he underwent his spirit journey and found that he was guided by the Ravens of Uchronos. Ever after he lived his life as Uchronos deemed.

Ug'rot left the security of the tribe and went g'rod, wandering. He came to the jagged coast of tall cliffs. It was there that stone failed him and the wind took him. Ug'rot fell into the sea and sunk like a great-stone after which he was named. Water flooded his lungs and Ug'rot died. Some time later his pale, rotted corpse washed up on the shores of a strange place. Ug'rot's soul finally was able to leave his body and there it waited. It waited for days scanning the skies for Yrr, Uchronos' favored raven, to guide him to Aog, the final place of rest for ogre souls. But days passed and Yrr never came. Ug'rot's soul grew angry. He had revered Uchronos in life and yet he has abandoned him? Why should his soul be doomed to wander until the retched mists of D'Zono consumed him? After all he had committed no sin.

Unwilling to accept that fate the soul of Ug'rot forced itself back into his sun baked, rotten corpse and found that he could move it. Never before had an ogre done this, as far as the Shamans know. What does that mean for the soul of Ug'rot or his relationship with Uchronos? None can say. These questions lie heavily with Ug'rot. For that reason he set off in search for the answer even if it means finding the soul of Uchronos itself.

It was some time later Ug'rot found the Horde, a massive army of monsters bent on destruction. Among their number was a great ogre, the Mekoot Kraylose who often wandered west to the homeland of his ancestors tribe. When he met Ug'rot he recognized him as an ogre. The other monsters took to calling him Rotten, a remark towards his smelly, sloughed off flesh.

It is said that if ever there is a wind blowing that makes you look super epic silloetted against a sunset, that the wind is Rotten farting just off camera. 68.1.jpg
