What is an Apprentice?

An apprentice has chosen to pursue mastery of a skill or area of service and has been approved by their Council. This is the first step to becoming a Master.

Apprentice Garb

Any member who has been promoted to Apprentice may wear an Apprentice's Vest. They may also wear a badge with their guild's apprentice symbol on it.

For Artificers, that would be a brown badge with a grey hammer. For Seneschals, that would be a gold badge with a simple torch.

Apprentice Requirements

Requirements for both guilds for Apprentices are much the same. They are listed separately here for future clarification or differentiation, should that be required as the Guilds grow and develop.

Please note that previous experience and work may be used to fulfill requirements, at the Council or Mentor's discretion. Those requirements listed at each stage assume someone has little prior knowledge, as the system is designed to allow people of all experience levels to learn and develop.

Artificers

  • Approved by Artificer’s Council
  • A Master has agreed to oversee their development as a mentor
  • They have agreed upon Journeyman requirements with their mentor
  • They have chosen a primary discipline
  • They have made or acquired an Apprentice’s vest as specified and approved by the Artificer’s Council.

Seneschals

  • Approved by Seneschal Council
  • A Master has agreed to oversee their development as a mentor
  • They have agreed upon Journeyman requirements with their mentor
  • They have chosen a primary aspect of service.
  • They have made or acquired an Apprentice’s vest with insignia as specified and approved by the Seneschal’s Council.
