At most events and practices there will be a designated time to check weapons. The location and time of the inspection of weapons is referred to as Weapons Check. Weapons Check is often run by Marshals or Weapons checkers who volunteer to potentially beat themselves up with potentially dangerous weapons. There are also Nationally Certified Marshals who have demonstrated superior knowledge of the Book of War and weapons checking.
It is important for fighters to understand the safety of their equipment. This category covers pages that tell a user how to check their own weapons for safety. All weapons checkers should be familiar with Appendix Section 1 of the Book of War pertaining to checking weapons. Those unfamiliar with the general practices used to check weapons should follow this guide.
